Indicators

: A law for which its text is untranslaï½”ed and only the title was translated.
: A repeal law.
- "Amendment" and "Dictonary Ver." displayed in the upper part of the law text represent the followings, respectively:
"Amendment": the number of an amended law wihch was lastly applied to the displayed text of the law, to which the last amendment may not applied.
"Dictionary Ver.": the version of the Standard Bilingual Dictionary on which the translation of the law was based.

Search Methods

 Example:  “Telecommunications”

Act (Law) Number Search

If you know the act (law) number, then you can search law by its number.

 

Example:

"Act on Special Provisions of the Telecommunications Business Law, etc. Attendant upon the Enforcement of the "Agreement under ARTICLE VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and the United States of America regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of United States Armed Forces in Japan"

Category Search

If you know the topic of the law you are looking for, you can go to the category search to search law by its category.  Here the category search is equivalent to "topical law" search. 

 

Example:
