The Law and Homelessness: Purpose of Guide

What are the legal issues surrounding homelessness?

Purpose

Homelessness is a huge, daunting issue for the State of Hawaii. This Research Guide is intended to discuss legal issues surrounding homelessness. It is not exhaustive and, in many ways, will be a work in progress as Hawaii struggles with this problem.

As a social issue homelessness touches many areas of the law: criminal, housing, domestic violence, constitutional rights, human rights, family law, health law, property law, etc.
