Components of the Illinois Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Illinois is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 4 years old. In addition, Illinois considers all U.S. jurisdictions reciprocal and an out of state attorney may be admitted on motion if, among other things, the attorney has engaged in the active, continuous, and lawful practice law for at least 3 of the 5 year immediately preceding their application:
