Originally created to aid the researcher seeking links to current Hawai`i laws, this guide has grown to include historical information. Hawai`i is a relatively new state (1959) and researchers frequently need to refer to materials prior to statehood. Wherever possible I have included links to material that has been digitized and can be found online. For the most part, those resources are proprietary in that the University of Hawai`i libraries pay to access the content for its users. Often members of the general public can access these proprietary resources by coming to the library and using a public access computer. Remote access is only available to those with valid UH Mānoa logins.
