The Basics

Components of the Idaho Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Idaho is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 37 months old. In addition, Idaho considers the following jurisdictions reciprocal and an attorney may be admitted on motion, if among other things, the attorney has been engaged in the active practice of law for no less than three of the five years immediately preceding the date upon which their application is filed:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
