The Basics

Components of the Alaska Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Arizona is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 5 years old. In addition, Arizona considers the following jurisdictions reciprocal and an attorney may be admitted on motion if, among other things, the applicant has engaged in the active practice of law for three of the five years immediately preceding the date their application is filed:

Alaska, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
