The Basics

Components of the Minnesota Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Minnesota is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 3 years old. In addition, Minnesota allows attorneys to be admitted on motion if, among other things, the attorney has practiced law for at least one thousand hours per year for at least three of the five years immediately preceding their application for admission to the Minnesota state bar.
