The Basics

Components of the Ohio Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Ohio is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 5 years old. In addition, Ohio allows an attorney from any U.S. jurisdiction to be admitted if they have engaged in the full-time practice of law for at least five years out of the ten years immediately prior to the submission of their application to the Ohio bar.
