The Basics

Components of the Oregon Bar Exam (UBE):

The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) 50%

The Mulitistate Essay Examination (MEE) 30%

The Multistate Performance Test (MPT) 20%

Reciprocity:

Oregon is a UBE jurisdiction and excepts UBE scores up to 3 years old. In addition, Oregon considers the following jurisdictions reciprocal and an attorney may be admitted  on motion if, among other things, the attorney has engaged in the active, substantial and continuous practice of law for no less than five of the seven years immediately preceding their application for admission:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
